Tai Chi Quan, known as Tai Chi, is an ancient Chinese martial art that literally means “Supreme Ultimate Boxing”.  This martial arts was created as a self-defense system, and our version still maintains many of these effective features, however,  it has gained wide popularity throughout the world for its health benefits and calming  effect.

Tai Chi has been shown to increase flexibility, circulation, cardiovascular fitness, focus and mental peace of mind.  There is even evidence that Tai Chi will also allow you to have reduced chronic pain along with stress and anxiety relief.

The style of Tai Chi we practice at McCoy’s Action Karate is Modern Tai Chi Quan 24, derived from Yang Style.
