Steve MacGregor is Empowering People in the Modern World Spencer, MA May 2, 2008 – Oxford Resident Steve MacGregor has been promoted to Head Instructor of one of the Top 100 Karate Schools in North America. Mr. MacGregor, a 2nd Degree Black Belt and Senior Instructor at McCoy’s Action Karate, recently rated as a Top 100 School by Black Belt Schools in America for the 7th straight year, was promoted from floor instructor at the Auburn MAK school to the Head Instructor of the Spencer School. "Our Spencer School just went through some corporate restructuring to assure that we delivered the very best instruction to our students possible, and of our 12 Instructors, Mr. MacGregor was selected to head our second oldest school,” said Paul McCoy, one of the owners of MAK. “Steve has the unique ability to adapt to the needs of each student, regardless of age, gender or situation in life,” says Paul. Mr. MacGregor has taught 2 years at the Auburn MAK School, and has trained as an instructor for an additional 2 years under the direct supervision of Sr. Master’s Anne and Paul McCoy. “This is the first time we have had 100% of our Senior and Junior Teaching Team members who have been trained directly by one of us,” says Mrs. McCoy. “Steve teaches Sunday School, is a Veteran, has 4 years of Karate teaching experience, has the added experience of raising 3 children, and has a natural talent for teaching to boot,” say Anne. McCoy's Action Karate is a member of United Professionals and its instructors and schools are certified by Black Belt Schools of America.
